Submission guidelines

Submissions will be accepted in two categories: research papers or extended abstracts.

We recommend that industry professionals submit extended abstracts, although they are also welcome to submit a full research paper if they prefer.

For an accepted submission to be published in the Symposium proceedings, at least one author should be registered for the Symposium and present the work. A person may be the author/co-author of multiple submissions. However, each person can present at most two research papers or extended abstracts.

Submissions should be organised in the following sequence:

  • Title of the research paper or extended abstract
  • Short abstract
  • Keywords
  • Topics
  • Main text: purpose, research background/literature review, research questions/hypotheses, research design/methodology/approach, findings, relevance/contribution
  • References

Research paper submissions (double-blind refereed):

  • Single-spaced 12 pt Times New Roman font.
  • Cover page with the title, author(s) and their affiliations, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers, also the submission type (research paper or extended abstract).
  • Research papers should be limited to 20 pages. Please include a short abstract (limited to 800 characters, about 100 words) in your submission.
  • Please submit as a Word document.
  • Please name your Word document with the surname of the first-named author and 14th ANZAM, e.g. Smith 14th ANZAM.
  • In submitting full papers for review, all authors are reminded that they might be requested to be reviewers in the double-blind refereeing process.

Extended abstract submissions (non-refereed):

  • Single-spaced 12 pt Times New Roman font plus cover page (as above).
  • Extended abstracts should be limited to 2 pages. Please include a short abstract (limited to 800 characters, about 100 words) in your submission.
  • Please name your Word document with the surname of the first-named author and 14th ANZAM, e.g. Smith 14th ANZAM.
  • Extended abstracts are subject to review and selection by the Symposium Committee.
